Flex is a highly-qualified manufacturer of hose assemblies for hydraulic, food, pharmaceutical, industrial and aerospace applications. We offer a wide variety of tube and cover compounds in many different hose types to meet almost any customer need.
Industrial Hose: Industrial hose is designed to transfer a wide variety of media, including air, water, gas and gasoline by-products, chemicals, food, beverages and pharmaceuticals, abrasive products, and hot and cold liquids. Most industrial hoses are designed with tube compounds tested and approved for the media that flows through them. Flex can assemble and test many different hose end configurations, including sanitary, internal expansion, crimped, swaged, and soldered. We can statically ground and test chemical hoses.
Ducting: Ducting is most commonly used for the transfer of air, fumes, and light particles. Generally ducting operates at lower pressures or under vacuum. The inside diameters (ID) of ducting products range from approximately ¾(only a few manufacturers can make smaller sizes) to 26. Most ducting products have a reinforcing helical wire or plastic helix. Flex assembles ducting products with a wide variety of cuffs and end configurations, including soft cuffs, injection molded cuffs, dip molded cuffs, and wire-grounded ends. Flex can perform pressure and vacuum tests as well as voltage tests on grounded assemblies.
Metal Hose: In extreme applicatoins where temperatures, chemicals or extremely abrasive products pose a problem for most industrial hoses, metal hose assemblies are normally used. Grains, paper and metal chips are abrasive materials that require metal hosing. Metal hose is available in a variety of metals in a helical wound or annular construction. Quite often a metal hose or expansion joint can be used in an application where severe vibration is causing problems with pipes. Metal hose products have a great variety of end configurations also.
Tubing: Small space confines and lighter power generation applications often require smaller diameter tubing products. Tubing comes in a wide variety of metals and elastomers, including neoprene, santoprene, Teflon, polyethylene, polyurethane, polypropylene, copper, stainless, aluminum, gum rubber, silicone and PVC, to name a few. Flex builds custom assemblies with tubing products using fittings, valves, cylinders, and accessory items to manufacture OEM sub-assemblies. We supply vacuum and test data with all OEM tubing assemblies. Tubing can be reinforced with an inner braid or wire helix, or it can have a braided exterior for highly abrasive applications and/or pressure requirements. Flex also offers custom braiding and bent tubing products in metals and elastomers.
Hydraulic Hose: These products are manufactured for applications where oil under pressure provides the propulsion or power to machinery or equipment. Flex has over sixteen years of experience in manufacturing hydraulic hose and steel tubing assemblies and kits, including OEM accessory items. We provide state-of-the-art crimping for hydraulic couplings using a Finn Power Crimper, the Cadillac of our industry. We also have several other production crimpers, cut-off saws and a 50,000 PSI hydrostatic testing machine. We are FAA-approved for the manufacture of aircraft OEM hose assemblies. We can provide a wide variety of end configurations, including flared, o-ring face seal, par-flanged, soldered, and internally expanded. Our state-of-the-art cleaning equipment assures the cleanlines of your hose assembly.
Teflon Hose: Often harsh chemicals, steam, high temperatures, or FDA requirements lend themselves to the use of Teflon-lined hose assemblies. Flex couples and stocks a wide variety of Teflon-lined hose products, including rubber-covered, stainless steel, and silicone-covered hoses. We couple these hoses with a wide variety of fittings from sanitary to JIC flared. We can furnish these hoses with an over-braid or fire jacket. We can provide electrical conductivity and pressure/vacuum test data on these hose assemblies as well.
